INDIA:    PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

 

As a movement working in 14 states in India, we take part in internationally funded projects and at the same time organise varying activities in the different regions. All programs and activities that take place aim at empowering domestic workers so that changes are long-lasting and sustained in the future.

 

   ADVOCACY

  1. Inclusion of domestic workers in the schedule for the Unorganised Sector Workers Bill 2003 and Unorganised Sector Workers Bills at state levels
  2. Implementation of Juvenile Justice Act 2000 in various states
  3. National Commission for Children
  4. Review of Child Labour Prevention and Regulation Act
  5. Review of Inter-state Migrant Workers Act
  6. Review of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (as to include trafficking for purposes other than just ‘immoral’
  7. Activation of Child Labour Advisory Boards in all districts

WORKSHOPS
